The perfect day for some trending political ads.
Plus other trending ads since we're all sick of politics.
Hiiiiiii, buddy. Your friendly neighborhood ad-man here.
Given that it’s Election Day, I thought now might be a good time to share a campaign that’s been making waves on the interwebs. Be sure you vote today, and also be sure that no matter which side of the aisle you’re on, you appreciate that these spots from StorkWorks, the latest brainchild from ad agency Walrus, are pretty damn interesting.
Picture this.
A political ad campaign that isn’t all finger-wagging and guilt trips but instead full of sex robots, talking birth control pills, and a snarky stork in the form of Jeff Ross dishing out babies.
My personal favorite of the eclectic bunch of ads would have to be Pilot Trump (watch below). Again, you might not agree with the overall message of the ad if you’re a Trumper, but as advertising professionals, I think we can all agree it’s a nice break from the same old format we’re used to.
StorkWorks did a bunch of other outside the box social ads, be sure you view them all here.
Write smarter not harder.
Apple’s new AI-powered ‘Intelligence’ tool is here, and they’re rolling it out in style. In two sharp new ads, Apple shows us how its AI tools turn everyday moments into superhero moves.
The first ad, Write Smarter, features an office worker who’s using his iPhone 16 Pro to level up his email game—casual messages get polished to perfection, leaving his boss scratching his head over the sudden Shakespearean prose.
In Create Memory Movies, a mom’s scrambling for a last-minute birthday gift for her husband, and with a few taps, Apple’s tool helps her pull together a tear-jerking montage from family videos. Crisis averted. And now I know what I’m getting my mom for Christmas this year. Thanks, Apple!
Why have I never read this?
I eat Justin’s peanut butter, and my name is actually Justin. But I’ve never paused to read the back of the jar. I spotted the copy this week, and thought it might be fun to share with y’all. I smiled.
Revenge is a dish best served post-vacation.
Here’s a spot for anyone who’s ever footed the bill over, and over, and over again. I loved this Lloyds Bank spot.
Any Wes Anderson fans in the building?
Campari and agency &Friends have capped off their ‘Ode to Cinema’ series with a final ad inspired by the unmistakable aesthetic of Wes Anderson.
This last spot sees world-class bartender Joe Schofield channeling his inner deadpan protagonist as he assembles his signature Negroni in a minimalist hotel room—a scene that feels right out of The Grand Budapest Hotel.
You got this.
Last but not least, how about an inspiring billboard from Netflix? An oldie but, it felt right to end on.
