Shadow ads and songs about cheese.
Aviation Gin, songs about cheese, and WTF is shadow advertising?
The vasectomy part deux.
Last year it was Nick Cannon. It looks like Aviation Gin is making a habit of running Father’s Day ads featuring a celebrity in an orange polo shirt. This year they went with Jessie James Decker, with cameos from her husband Eric and of course, Vancity Reynolds himself.
Who are they going after next year? I hear Clint Eastwood has eight kids. I’d love a Dirty Harry Vasectomy spot. That sounded weird. Stay ahead of trending events and nail fast-vertising like Maximum Effort with Forekast, today’s sponsor.
Can you see my screen?
Maybe Zoom isn’t everything we thought it was back when everyone was binging Tiger King and baking sourdough. This ad spot is for German Rail, and it is awesome. Be sure you click through to hear the audio on this one.
I’ll be honest with you though I’ll still take any Zoom meeting over in-person. But I appreciate this spot nonetheless.
Block Jams 2.

If you’re into web design, Tilamook did a pretty great job with their custom site for this campaign. Check it out.
Shadow advertising.
No, it’s nothing nefarious like shadow-banning a competitor on Facebook. It’s literally advertising with shadows. This creative skin cancer campaign from CHE Melbourne in Australia is making waves on the beach.
And with that, I think it’s time we took a break from writing this newsletter. Talk soon.
